Fiber optic and digital industry meets in June: New date for Fiberdays22
Bonn, 17.12.2021 Due to the fact that the pandemic is still difficult to predict, the German Broadband Association (BREKO) has found a new date for the Fiberdays22 trade fair in Wiesbaden on June 14-15, 2022. The exhibitor spaces for the trade fair, which will take place in two halls of the RheinMain Congress Center for the first time, are already fully booked. Visitor tickets for the new date in June are now available.
BREKO Managing Director Dr. Stephan Albers is pleased that a new date in the summer could be found together with the Rhein Main Congress Center Wiesbaden: “Unfortunately, the pandemic-related conditions for a presence trade fair in spring 2022 cannot be estimated again from today’s perspective. Even if the coronavirus figures are currently falling slightly, there is great uncertainty as to whether Fiberdays22 will be able to be held successfully in March. In addition, the health of our exhibitors, guests and participants is our top priority.”
The new date for Fiberdays22 is June 14 and 15, 2022. More than 200 national and international exhibitors will present themselves in two halls on a total area of almost 10,000 square meters. Despite the postponement, the exhibitor spaces in the exhibition area, which will be expanded to two halls for the first time next year, were fully booked within a short space of time. For Albers, this is one of the reasons for continuing to hold a presence trade fair: “The demand from the telecommunications and digital sector for a presence trade fair is growing. Companies finally want to return to real exhibition halls. We can clearly feel this, because Fiberdays22 is already fully booked, and that on our enlarged exhibitor area in the North and South Halls. In order to meet this demand, the challenge for us was to find the right time for a successful presence trade fair in which the entire fiber optic and digital industry can also participate. We are convinced that we will succeed on June 14 and 15, 2022 in Wiesbaden.”
At the accompanying Fiberdays22 congress, top-class speakers from politics, business and science will present in-depth industry information and news from the fiber optic sector. Hesse’s Digital Minister Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus has already confirmed her participation as one of the keynote speakers. She will open Fiberdays22.
In addition to special areas on digital topics such as GAIA-X, Smart City, regional data centers, 5G campus solutions and the fiber optic exchange, BREKO will be presenting a large media hall for the networking of TV broadcasters, content providers and network operators for the first time at Fiberdays22. In the hall, TV broadcasters will present themselves and their program for 2023 in an attractive screening format and get to know the market and the new players in TV distribution. Top-class panels on the television of the future such as IPTV, OTT, VOD, dynamic ad insertion, fast channels and the individualization of television promise interesting information and exciting discussions.
