“For Fiberdays22, we have succeeded in putting together a unique package of top-class discussion panels, presentations on cutting-edge digitalization topics and workshops with real added value for practical application,” says BREKO Managing Director Dr. Stephan Albers. “In this important year for the implementation of fibre optic expansion, we have aligned the congress programme in such a way that it appeals not only to those directly involved in fibre optic expansion, but also to municipalities, federal states and organizations from other sectors that depend on an efficient digital infrastructure to carry out their activities and business models.”

While more than 200 national and international companies from the fiber optic and digital industry will be presenting the latest innovations and services on over 10,000 square meters in two exhibition halls, more than 150 speakers will be offering around 70 discussion rounds, workshops and seminars. There will be space on four stages for panels and presentations on the topics of smart cities and smart regions, data centers and sustainability, and the television of the future. The topics of civil engineering, building cabling, 5G campus networks, start-up cooperation and open access will also be prominently presented and debated. In practical workshops, experts will also speak on cutting-edge topics such as cyber security and smart factories for SMEs. The congress programme also includes panels on the digitalization of municipalities, including with Dr. Alexander Handschuh from the German Association of Towns and Municipalities, as well as presentations by scientific experts on aspects of fibre optic expansion, including Prof. Dr. Kristof Obermann from TH Mittelhessen and Prof. Dr. Gerold Janssen from TU Dresden.
