Bonn/Wiesbaden, 17.01.2023 Germany’s leading trade fair for fibre optic expansion and digitalization will take place from 15-16 March at the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) Wiesbaden. By returning to its traditional date in March, the event opens the 2023 trade fair season for the telecommunications industry. Tickets for the two-hall exhibition with more than 200 exhibitors, including a conference program on the most important topics of the fiber optic year, are now available.

After format and date changes due to the pandemic, Fiberdays will once again open the telecommunications industry’s trade fair season this year. The German Broadband Association (BREKO) is presenting the trade fair and congress event for the telecommunications and digital industry for the first time again in 2023 on its traditional date in March. As the trade fair kicks off a year that will point the way forward for the fibre optic industry, the organizers want to get people in the mood for the most important developments and topics with a top-class congress program.

Five panels have been set up on the most important topics of fiber optic expansion, which are intended to set the mood for a decisive fiber optic year as part of the congress program. As part of the strategy, investor, innovation, open access and cooperation panels, the CEOs of well-known telecommunications companies will discuss upcoming developments and decisions with decision-makers from federal and state politics. As last year, the congress program, which will take place on four stages, will be integrated into the two exhibition halls and implemented in so-called open space forums in the middle of the exhibition halls. Prof. Dr. Jens Böcker and Kerstin Stromberg-Mallmann will host the program.

Over 200 international exhibitors from the fiber optic and digital industry will be presenting the latest innovations and services relating to future-proof fiber optics in the two exhibition halls of the RMCC Wiesbaden. New this year: The municipal marketplace offers contacts and information especially for municipal decision-makers. The aim is to support them in the expansion of fiber optics in their municipality through a range of services tailored to their needs and an exchange of experiences with other municipal decision-makers. The digital representatives of the federal states and the federal Gigabit Office will present themselves at the Gigabit Campus of the federal states and the federal Gigabit Office. The Gigabit Office’s Infomobile will also be on site with contacts and information about the digital infrastructure.

The Media Hall is entering its second round this year. Broadcasters, network operators and media professionals will meet in the third exhibition hall of Fiberdays to discuss topics relating to the television of the future. This year, the team around organizer Christian Heinkele has set itself the goal of addressing the media and telecommunications industry even more precisely on two theme days. With its high-quality congress program, Broadcaster Day addresses media professionals, broadcasters and the TV industry. Network Operator Day is all about the future-proof TV offering of telecommunications companies. It is aimed at all employees of network operators, municipal utilities, housing associations, technology companies and content providers who are involved in the development and implementation of TV services in their company.
