media hall at fiberdays 24: Discussing tomorrow’s television today
Wiesbaden, 13.02.2024 Fiber optics is the future-proof network technology for transmitting large amounts of data reliably and quickly. But the networks also need content to show what they are capable of. The opportunities and challenges this presents for network operators, content providers and TV broadcasters will be the focus of this year’s media hall at fiberdays 24 on 27 and 28 February in Wiesbaden.
At its core, everything revolves around two questions: What will the television of the future look like? Which business models will generate a lot of data in the future – and therefore require a high-performance fiber optic infrastructure?
In ten panels and four keynotes, executives and experts from the TV, media and fiber optic industry will discuss current market developments, TV trends, pricing models and strategies, as well as the focus topic of TV applications in cars.
The most important topics of media hall 24 at a glance:
Final spurt on elimination of allocability: What are the attackers and the defenders doing?
FAST Channels experience: What works and what doesn’t work?
Content: Are sports rights the salvation of linear television?
AutoTainment: Will the next TV be a car?
Success with TV: Exchange of experience on bundling, pricing models and marketing
Both on the podium and among the guests are representatives of all well-known TV platforms, streaming platforms and broadcasters from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. These include DAZN, ZDF, Samsung Electronics, Seven. One Sports, waipu.tv, Liberty Global, Deutsche Telekom, Sport 1, swisscom, Ford, Cariad, 3SS, Zattoo and Red Bull.
“There is no better opportunity for network operators to meet and get to know the entire TV industry in one go – and vice versa,” says media hall organizer Christian Heinkele.
Thanks to the high-caliber line-up, the presentations will give network operators a comprehensive overview of the products and solutions available. On the other hand, content providers will learn where network operators are competing, what content is in demand and how they can tap into new sources of revenue.
In addition, the media hall offers several “Meet & Greet” events on both days of the trade fair as an opportunity for constructive exchange.
