fiberdays 25: Networking for the digital future in Frankfurt – trade fair grows significantly at new location

Bonn/Frankfurt, 13.03.2025 With the move to the trade fair city of Frankfurt am Main and a growth of over 70 additional exhibitors, fiberdays 25 on 2 and 3 April 2025 will underpin its claim to be a central platform for knowledge transfer and exchange in the telecommunications industry. The integrated approach of the event offers the opportunity to switch between lectures, seminars and an extensive exhibition within one hall and thus absorb a combination of diverse impulses. “We create spaces for creative impulses and topical discussions about the economic and political situation in our industry,” explains Dr. Stephan Albers, Managing Director of the German Broadband Association (BREKO).

Among other things, this will be made clear in three central topic areas, which will offer visitors an extensive range of lectures, workshops and discussions:

International Carrier Exchange: European answers to digital challenges
With a new format, fiberdays 25 will showcase current European answers for the digital infrastructure. For the first time, over 30 international speakers will be organizing a European get-together for the industry, including Colman Deegan, Dirk Wössner and leading figures from Orange, AWS, Colt, McKinsey, Asteo and theme area partner Gabocom. How do international investors currently view the broadband market and what are the trends in cloud infrastructure, FTTH coverage and technology in Europe? This series of events in English provides the answers.

Green Plaza: Sustainability as a trailblazer for the future
Sustainability is shaping the future of fiber optic networks and data centers. The Green Plaza demonstrates in a variety of ways how the industry can actively contribute to achieving environmental goals. Interested visitors will gain insights into relevant political developments and can learn from numerous best-practice examples how to effectively pursue sustainability goals. In addition, the nextgen panel offers inspiration and impulses from young sustainability experts from the telecommunications industry.

Programs for municipal decision-makers: Practical and future-oriented
fiberdays 25 is also aimed specifically at municipal decision-makers. The Municipal Marketplace and the joint Gigabit Campus of the federal states and the Federal Gigabit Office offer concrete insights into the practical implementation of infrastructure expansion on site. The focus will be on topics such as the successful implementation of smart city projects, the current status of gigabit funding and strategies for accelerating expansion projects. They build a bridge between municipal challenges and innovative solutions that help municipalities achieve their expansion targets. The program will be rounded off by an exclusive meeting of mayors from all over Germany on the first day of the trade fair.

Tickets for fiberdays 25 can be purchased in theticket store.
