Bonn/Wiesbaden, 24.09.2021 After a digital edition in 2020, Fiberdays, Germany’s leading trade fair for fibre optic expansion and digitization, will once again take place as a presence trade fair at the RheinMain CongressCentrum (RMCC) in Wiesbaden in March 2022. Tickets for next year’s exhibition, which will cover two exhibition halls and include an integrated congress program, are now available. Over 200 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors are expected.

Fiberdays22 in Wiesbaden is not only Germany’s leading trade fair for future-proof fibre optics and the associated digital business models and solutions, but has also established itself internationally as an important event in the telecommunications industry. This is reflected in the high demand from national and international exhibitors from the telecommunications and fiber optics industry: more than 200 companies have already registered to present their products and services at the first physical edition of the trade fair since 2019. This means that the exhibitor spaces are almost fully booked six months before the trade fair.

Due to the coronavirus, Fiberdays 2020 was held virtually. Now the organizer, the German Broadband Communications Association (BREKO), is planning to hold the trade fair again as an in-person event at the RMCC Wiesbaden. BREKO Managing Director Dr. Stephan Albers comments: “The demand from the industry for an in-person trade fair is very high. The excursion into the virtual world has enriched the event portfolio – next year’s Fiberdays will also include elements that can be experienced digitally. However, companies are returning to the exhibition halls. The need for direct personal interaction between business partners and customers is great. So much so that we have expanded the Fiberdays22 exhibition space at RMCC Wiesbaden to a full two exhibition halls. We are delighted to be able to offer the fibre optic industry a real platform for industry-wide exchange again in March 2022 and a real highlight with the new trade fair format and integrated congress program.”

The new Fiberdays concept includes a contemporary hygiene concept and many new features for visitors. Exhibitors and technology leaders will present solutions on key topics such as smart city, civil engineering & building cabling, 5G, campus networks, digital administration, start-ups and new media on seven activity areas. The congress program will be integrated into the North and South exhibition halls for the first time and implemented in so-called open space forums in the middle of the exhibition halls. With the help of an audio system developed for these event formats (silent disco principle), the audience will be able to follow the presentations of the program undisturbed in the trade fair environment. As part of the congress program, visitors can expect presentations, seminars and workshops on all aspects of fibre optic expansion, from planning to the app. Planned topics include business models and innovative products in fibre optic expansion, broadband promotion, smart cities & smart regions, digitization of municipalities and companies as well as new media.

Tickets for Fiberdays22 can be purchased here. All further information for visitors and exhibitors can be found at www.fiberdays.de.
