Bonn/Berlin, June 7, 2021: Angie Hagemann, Managing Director Construction of the Deutsche Glasfaser Group, has been unanimously appointed to the Board of the German Broadband Communications Association (BREKO). Angie Hagemann has been responsible for the nationwide expansion of networks at Deutsche Glasfaser since May 1, 2021. She had previously been responsible for the Group’s FTTH rollout as Head of Division since 2018. She has many years of management experience in the telecommunications industry. In the 14-member BREKO Board of Management, she succeeds Dr. Stephan Zimmermann, who is leaving Deutsche Glasfaser at his own request. Due to his departure as Managing Director, a new appointment is now being made to the Board of Management.

BREKO President Norbert Westfal explains the change:

“On behalf of my colleagues on the Board of Management, I would like to thank Dr. Stephan Zimmermann for the excellent and trusting cooperation on the BREKO Board. I am very much looking forward to working with Angie Hagemann, who has a lot of experience in fiber optic expansion.”

Angie Hagemann is looking forward to her work on the BREKO Board and says:

“In line with BREKO’s central message: ‘We build the networks’, we will continue to contribute our expertise as the largest fiber optic provider in rural areas. Our common goal is and remains to accelerate digitalization in Germany. I would like to thank you for your trust and look forward to working together constructively.”
