Jürgen Hansjosten to leave Infrafibre Germany
Jürgen Hansjosten, CEO of Infrafibre Germany (IFG), will leave the company at his own request at the end of March 2025. The successful acquisition of IFG by Unsere Grüne Glasfaser (UGG) has created one of Germany’s largest independent fiber optic infrastructure providers. Jochen Mogalle and Richard Fahringer will take on the role of Managing Directors for Infrafibre Germany from April. Both are already members of IFG’s Group Management Team and will take over Hansjosten’s previous responsibilities.

Strong fiber optic cooperation: NetCologne uses fiber optic network from Deutsche Glasfaser
Network cooperation between two of the largest fiber optic providers in North Rhine-Westphalia: Deutsche Glasfaser and NetCologne have concluded a so-called “open access” contract – now the technical implementation has been successfully completed. Thanks to the cooperation between the two companies, households in Deutsche Glasfaser’s network area in the Rhineland can now also book fiber-optic tariffs with NetCologne. The partnership covers parts of the Rhein-Erft district, the Rheinisch-Bergisch district and other areas around Aachen and Cologne. This expands NetCologne’s coverage area and Deutsche Glasfaser’s selection of fiber optic offers in its network.

Change at the top of the company: Kai Pigorsch is the new Co-Managing Director of Glasfaser Nordwest
Kai Pigorsch is taking over as Co-Managing Director of Glasfaser Nordwest alongside Andreas Mayer with immediate effect. He succeeds Arnold Diekmann, who stepped down as Co-Managing Director at the end of February and will be leaving the company. Arnold Diekmann will once again contribute his extensive expertise in the field of production in the telecommunications environment to Telekom Deutschland.

Fiber optic network operator Eurofiber cooperates with Sweden’s telecommunications provider Bahnhof
Eurofiber Netz GmbH (Eurofiber), a Berlin-based fiber optic provider, and the Swedish telecommunications provider Bahnhof AB with its German subsidiary Bahnhof Nätverk GmbH (Bahnhof) signed a framework agreement for long-term cooperation in February. Bahnhof uses Eurofiber’s wholesale products to place its own high-speed Internet products in Berlin.
